Reaching Out
Supporting a loved one through their mental health recovery can feel like a daunting task. As a member of their support network, you play a vital role in guiding them through important decisions — from when and where to seek treatment, to what kind of support they’ll need. While the responsibility may feel overwhelming at times, taking an informed and compassionate approach helps pave the way for meaningful progress.
This page is designed to help you understand what to expect and how our programme aligns with your loved one’s needs.
At The Beekeeper House, we specialise in treating complex mental health conditions with a holistic approach that integrates Eastern philosophy and evidence-based therapy. Our treatment model supports healing in mind, body, and spirit — empowering your loved one to make lasting changes in a serene and restorative setting.
Supportive communication
Mental health challenges can strain or disrupt relationships, creating distance between friends, family, or partners. Seeking support is a major step toward healing — not only for your loved one, but for those closest to them.
As a support person, your role can be transformative. Your insights help shape the treatment plan, and your presence offers stability during uncertain moments. Open, honest, and compassionate communication will be key to navigating this process.
At The Beekeeper House, we welcome input from those closest to our clients. During the preliminary assessment — conducted prior to arrival — family members or loved ones may be invited to share their perspective on the challenges being faced. This collaborative input helps us design an individualised care plan that is well-informed and fully aligned with your loved one’s needs.
The process
The Beekeeper House is located in the peaceful hills of Chiang Mai, Thailand, offering a private and expansive sanctuary surrounded by nature. Our residential centre is designed to foster healing through a tranquil environment, spacious accommodations, and daily therapeutic engagement. Clients benefit from both structure and serenity — key elements in effective mental health care.

Upon arrival, your loved one will undergo a comprehensive intake assessment conducted by both a physician and a therapist. This allows us to understand their current emotional, psychological, and physical needs.
If any medical support is required before beginning therapy, our team will arrange appropriate care. Once stabilized, they will begin working with our multidisciplinary team in a carefully structured therapeutic programme.

Early in the treatment journey, communication may be limited to help your loved one fully focus on their recovery. This "digital detox" supports emotional regulation and creates space for reflection, without external distractions.
When communication does resume, it’s done with intention and support — helping to strengthen trust, connection, and boundaries.
How we work
Understanding our treatment model can help you better support your loved one’s journey. At The Beekeeper House, we provide a comprehensive, inclusive, and trauma-informed approach to care. Our method blends clinical psychology with holistic wellness — incorporating both modern and traditional therapeutic practices.
Our programmes address immediate mental health needs while also helping clients build long-term strategies for resilience and well-being.
Clients live onsite in our restorative Chiang Mai retreat, where they participate in daily individual therapy, group therapy, mindfulness practices, and holistic wellness sessions. Each programme is customised, ensuring therapeutic alignment with the client’s goals and challenges.
Our team includes qualified medical professionals who support each client from the moment of arrival. Health evaluations, medication reviews, and wellness planning are all handled with care and discretion.
Therapy is the heart of our programme. Through one-on-one and group sessions, clients are supported in understanding their thoughts, behaviours, and emotional patterns. These sessions foster awareness, compassion, and the tools needed to make meaningful changes.
While some centres offer short-term stays, we recommend a minimum of 35 days, with an ideal programme length of 90 days. This extended format is aligned with clinical best practices and supports lasting mental health transformation.
Travel
The Beekeeper House is located just outside Chiang Mai, easily accessible from the international airport. Upon arrival, your loved one will be welcomed by our team and escorted to the centre, where they’ll receive a full orientation.
All accommodations and meals are included, with a strong focus on wellness, nutrition, and comfort. The peaceful surroundings — including gardens, walking paths, and meditation spaces — offer an ideal backdrop for therapeutic work and personal reflection.

The next steps
Recovery doesn’t end when residential treatment concludes. That’s why The Beekeeper House offers a comprehensive aftercare programme to support long-term mental health and emotional resilience.
From the start of treatment, we begin planning for life after discharge. Together with the client and their support network, we create an aftercare plan tailored to emotional, psychological, and practical needs.
This plan may include referrals to trusted professionals, regular check-ins, remote therapy, and access to our digital platform My Beekeeper, which helps clients track progress and stay connected.
As a support person, your involvement can greatly impact long-term success. The more you understand and engage with the aftercare plan, the more effectively you can provide guidance and encouragement. Our team is also available to offer resources for families — so you can feel confident and informed as your loved one continues their healing journey.
